Tips from a florist — Using tall branches with flowers might seem a little intimidating but follow these tips:

1. Prep and clean all of the stems of your flowers before you start arranging.
2. Use chicken wire or bent curly willow to place inside of the vase to help hold your stems into place.
3. Frame out the main shape and height with the branches
4. Use the thickest and hardest stems first (woody stems like roses)
5. Add in the softer stems like lisianthus and ranunculus last.
6. Like, Save, Share, and Follow for more flower arranging 🥰
20, 60, or 120 tulips, I use the same technique.
But with 20 tulips, don’t clean off all of the leaves. Leave the upper leaves for some volume. Here are the steps:
1. Clean the bottom leaves only.
2. Line up the tulip heads in a straight line.
The trick: organize them neatly, following the curve of each tulip to face outward. Watch how it’s done
3. Stack them into a pyramid.
4. Grab them all together and tie with a clear rubber band (once around)
5. Cut the bottom of the stems straight across and place into a clean vase
6. Like Follow Share to learn more about flower arranging 🤗

Every florist I know has their own library of tips and tricks. And they all work well. These served me well 19 years and counting:
1. Use willow branches to bend/loop to make a grid inside the vase and feel good about being more green 💚
2. My sprite + bleach combo - Video explains why
3. Woody branches and stems - split the bottom using your shears, while your shears are inside the stem twist your wrist. Watch to see how it’s done. This helps drink more water
4. Balance the blooms and let each flower breathe
5. Like share and follow for more flower arranging 🤩

Spring is finally here! We brought back our winter coats this week for the 30-degree NYC weather but we are happy nonetheless 🥶💛
Happy Spring!! 🐣

60 tulips in 1 vase. Tulips are in season, so they are cheap and fresh. Try this out, it’s so fun and easy. Here’s how:
Stack them neatly into a pyramid.
Grab them all carefully.
Gently cut straight across with a knife.
Tie with a rubber band.
Place into a clear vase and show off those clean lines.
