Spreading Love in NYC – How It All Began

After a busy Valentine’s Day in 2021, we had extra flowers that couldn’t go to waste. Rather than let them sit in our studio, we decided to make mini bouquets and hit the streets of NYC to hand out free bouquets. It wasn’t a planned event—just a moment of inspiration that turned into something bigger than we could have imagined.

Rachel took a cart, buckets filled with mini Bouquettes, and went to a busy New York City corner at Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan. At first, people immediately rejected these flowers, unsure why someone was handing out bouquets without asking for anything in return. Most people thought this was a solicitation of a bouquet sale.

As the confusion melted away and the realization set in that this was simply an act of kindness, the reactions were unforgettable. Surprise turned into delight, and delight turned into gratitude, and lines were formed to receive these bouquets with big thank-you’s, hugs, and even a tip!

That day sparked a tradition. For the past three years, we’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day by bringing a little extra love to the streets of NYC, one bouquet at a time. The moments we’ve captured along the way have been priceless, from the heartwarming smiles of strangers to the sheer joy of turning an ordinary day into something special for someone.

We posted these videos on our social channels and they have received over 15M views.   If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out here:

The joy of seeing strangers light up made us realize we’d stumbled onto something meaningful. Since then, the Valentine’s Day giveaway has become one of our favorite traditions, and it’s a beautiful reminder of why we love what we do.
